El establecimiento de un organismo nacional de normalizaci\u00f3n en la India se basa en la Ley de la Oficina de Normalizaci\u00f3n de la India, creada en 2016.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Los objetivos de la Ley BIS incluyen el desarrollo armonioso de las actividades de normalizaci\u00f3n, evaluaci\u00f3n de la conformidad y garant\u00eda de calidad de bienes, art\u00edculos, procesos, sistemas y servicios. La autoridad responsable es la Oficina de Normas Indias. data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Adem\u00e1s de las normas antes mencionadas, una serie de productos qu\u00edmicos est\u00e1n regulados por los planes de la BIS. BIS son las siglas de Bureau of Indian Standards (Oficina de Normas Indias), el organismo nacional de normalizaci\u00f3n creado sobre la base de la\u00a0<strong>Ley de la Oficina de Normas Indias de 2016<\/strong>. La Ley contiene disposiciones que permiten al Gobierno someter a un r\u00e9gimen de certificaci\u00f3n obligatoria cualquier bien o art\u00edculo de cualquier industria, proceso, sistema o servicio catalogado que considere necesario en inter\u00e9s p\u00fablico o para la protecci\u00f3n de la salud humana, animal o vegetal, la seguridad del medio ambiente, o la prevenci\u00f3n de pr\u00e1cticas comerciales desleales, o la seguridad nacional. Esto significa que los fabricantes o importadores de sustancias qu\u00edmicas que est\u00e1n en la lista BIS necesitan solicitar la certificaci\u00f3n antes de sus actividades comerciales y obtener un\u00a0<strong>Licencias BIS<\/strong>. For non-Indian manufacturers\u00a0to comply with BIS certification, Authorized Indian Representative (AIR)\u00a0can be appointed to assist the application process, including:\u00a0 Required document Documentation and application submission\u00a0 Factory inspection by Indian auditor Provision of test samples by the AIR and execution of the tests Marking and\u00a0labelling\u00a0of products with the standard or ISI marks for BIS certification In addition to above-mention rules, a number of chemicals are regulated under the BIS schemes. BIS stands for the\u00a0Bureau of Indian Standards, the National Standards Body established based on the\u00a0Bureau of Indian Standards Act 2016. The Act has enabling provisions for the Government to bring under compulsory certification regime any goods or article of any scheduled industry, process, system or service which it considers necessary\u00a0in the public interest or for the protection of human, animal or plant health, safety of the environment, or prevention of unfair trade practices, or national security. There are two types of product certification schemes:\u00a0Scheme 1 \u2013\u00a0Indian Standards Institution\u00a0(ISI)\u00a0and\u00a0Scheme 2 \u2013\u00a0Compulsory Registration Scheme\u00a0(CRS). Since 2018, 63 chemicals have been added to the BIS list with individual timelines for implementation via the publication of Quality Order Controls (QOCs).
