Additionally, a more comprehensive chemical registry is currently under development. In fact, a draft legislation to establish a National Registry of Chemical Substances was recently introduced in the Mexican Federal Congress in February 2026.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Ongoing Obligations<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this new registry moves through the legislative process, businesses must continue to comply with all current legal and regulatory requirements in force today. Au total, le\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gpcgateway.com\/regulatory-regions\/mexico\/inventory\/Mjg%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inventaire\u00a0<\/a>L'inventaire compte 5 852 produits chimiques et se base sur l'ann\u00e9e 2009 comme ann\u00e9e de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.  L'inventaire se caract\u00e9rise davantage comme un catalogue puisqu'il n'impose aucune obligation au march\u00e9 national. Il s'agit de l'\u00e9tape initiale d'un projet pilote.<\/p><p>En 2018, le\u00a0<b><strong>Institut national de statistique et de g\u00e9ographie (INEGI)\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>a publi\u00e9 le\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.snieg.mx\/DocumentacionPortal\/Normatividad\/vigente\/Lineamientos_CNSQ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lignes directrices pour l'utilisation du catalogue national des substances chimiques \u00e0 des fins statistiques et g\u00e9ographiques<\/a>. Le document tient compte des informations fournies par l'industrie chimique nationale et les importateurs, en plus d'\u00eatre un outil d'homologation pour les substances collect\u00e9es jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent.<\/p><p>En d\u00e9cembre 2020, l'Association nationale de l'industrie chimique (ANIQ)<a href=\"https:\/\/aniq.org.mx\/webpublico\/Notas\/Nota.asp?id=252\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0propositions de modification de l'inventaire national des substances chimiques<\/a>L'ANIQ a propos\u00e9 un inventaire des substances chimiques, qui comprend la possibilit\u00e9 d'am\u00e9liorer la gestion des produits chimiques en \u00e9valuant la substance tout au long de son cycle de vie. Selon la proposition de l'ANIQ, l'inventaire sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 servirait de base \u00e0 l'avancement futur de la r\u00e9glementation des produits chimiques, soutiendrait un meilleur processus de prise de d\u00e9cision et contribuerait \u00e0 l'industrie nationale. Il est pr\u00e9vu que les agences travaillent ensemble pour renforcer et rationaliser le processus de mise en \u0153uvre de la proposition, en pr\u00e9sentant un projet qui ne se contente pas de contr\u00f4ler, mais qui promeut et d\u00e9veloppe \u00e9galement la production de l'industrie. In total, the\u00a0inventory\u00a0has 5.852 chemicals present and is based on 2009 as the reference year. \u00a0The inventory was more characterized as a catalog since it did not impose any obligation on the national market, it was the initial step for a pilot project to be established. In 2018, the\u00a0National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI)\u00a0published the\u00a0Guidelines for the use of the National Catalog of Chemical Substances for statistical and geographic purposes. The document considered information provided by the national chemical industry and importers, in addition to being a homologation tool for substances collected so far. In December 2020,\u00a0National Chemical Industry Association (ANIQ)\u00a0proposed changes to the national chemical substance inventory, which includes the possibility to improve the management of chemicals by assessing the substance through its life cycle. According to ANIQ\u2019s proposal, the suggested inventory would serve as a basis for future chemical regulation advancement, support a better decision-making process, and contribute to the national industry. It is predicted that the agencies are working together to strengthen and streamline the proposal implementation process, presenting a project that does not only control but also promotes and develops the industry\u2019s production.
