Promuove inoltre metodi alternativi per la valutazione dei rischi delle sostanze, al fine di ridurre il numero di test sugli animali.<\/p><p>In linea di principio, il regolamento REACH si applica a tutte le sostanze chimiche, non solo a quelle utilizzate nei processi industriali ma anche nella nostra vita quotidiana, ad esempio nei prodotti per la pulizia, nelle vernici e in articoli come vestiti, mobili ed elettrodomestici. Pertanto, il regolamento ha un impatto sulla maggior parte delle aziende dell'UE.<\/p><p>Il regolamento REACH pone l'onere della prova a carico delle aziende. Per conformarsi al regolamento, le aziende devono identificare e gestire i rischi legati alle sostanze che producono e commercializzano nell'UE. Devono dimostrare all'ECHA come la sostanza possa essere utilizzata in modo sicuro e devono comunicare le misure di gestione dei rischi agli utenti.<\/p><p>Se i rischi non possono essere gestiti, le autorit\u00e0 possono limitare l'uso delle sostanze in modi diversi. Le aziende devono registrare le proprie sostanze e per farlo devono collaborare con altre aziende che registrano la stessa sostanza.<\/p><p>L'ECHA riceve e valuta ogni registrazione per verificarne la conformit\u00e0, mentre gli Stati membri dell'UE valutano sostanze selezionate per chiarire le preoccupazioni iniziali per la salute umana o per l'ambiente. Le autorit\u00e0 e i comitati scientifici dell'ECHA valutano se i rischi delle sostanze possono essere gestiti.<\/p><p>Le autorit\u00e0 possono vietare le sostanze pericolose se i loro rischi sono ingestibili. Il principio principale del REACH \u00e8 \"una sostanza, una registrazione\".<\/p><p>Durante il processo di presentazione congiunta, uno dei membri che producono le stesse sostanze chimiche si nomina dichiarante principale e il dichiarante principale o il consorzio REACH si occuper\u00e0 della maggior parte del lavoro, come la raccolta dei dati, lo sviluppo del dossier tecnico e della relazione sulla sicurezza chimica (CSR) e la presentazione del dossier di registrazione congiunto all'ECHA. Gli altri co-registranti devono solo pagare al dichiarante capofila o al consorzio una tassa per fare riferimento al dossier di registrazione congiunto e poi preparare la parte individuale del dossier REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry. It also promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals. In principle, REACH applies to all chemical substances; not only those used in industrial processes but also in our day-to-day lives, for example in cleaning products, paints as well as in articles such as clothes, furniture and electrical appliances. Therefore, the regulation has an impact on most companies across the EU. REACH places the burden of proof on companies. To comply with the regulation, companies must identify and manage the risks linked to the substances they manufacture and market in the EU. They have to demonstrate to ECHA how the substance can be safely used, and they must communicate the risk management measures to the users. If the risks cannot be managed, authorities can restrict the use of substances in di\ufb00erent ways. In the long run, the most hazardous substances should be substituted with less dangerous ones. REACH establishes procedures for collecting and assessing information on the properties and hazards of substances. Companies need to register their substances and to do this they need to work together with other companies who are registering the same substance. ECHA receives and evaluates each registrations for their compliance, and the EU Member States evaluate selected substances to clarify initial concerns for human health or for the environment. Authorities and ECHA\u2019s scienti\ufb01c committees assess whether the risks of substances can be managed. Authorities can ban hazardous substances if their risks are unmanageable.
